This is the sample quilt I made for the Half and Half Quilt Pattern + Block Gallery. I used a precut bundle of Tula Pink's Eden fabrics and a Michael Miller white on white polka dot fabric.
This is an oversized twin quilt I designed to use a fat quarter bundle as efficiently as possible. You can find out more about this quilt here.
This is the baby quilt I made for my son. This quilt is the inspiration for my Half and Half Quilt Pattern + Block Gallery. You can find out more about this quilt here.
The second quilt I ever finished was another half square triangle quilt I made for my cousin as a baby shower gift. I'm still kicking myself for not getting a picture of the whole thing. More details here.
This is the first machine quilted patchwork quilt I did and also the first quilt I ever completed. It's a simple half square triangle quilt. I tried to arrange all of the half square triangles so they wouldn't touch another triangle of the same print but that didn't quite work out in the end so it's more of a controlled random arrangement.
I started this quilt with my mom's help in 1987 (I was 3). My mom had me do a different "learn to sew" technique on each block and she assembled and quilted the blocks. This is the first quilt I started. It's still not done.
This is a baby quilt I received from my great-grandmother. It's all hand appliquéd and hand quilted.
This quilt was given to me as a wedding gift. It was done by my great-grandmother Laura Nehring. It's all hand appliquéd and hand quilted.
There is an article about the history of this quilt in Piecework Sept/Oct 2005.
My son's preschool class commissioned me to make a quilt out of fabric with art from each of the kids printed on it. I went with simple sashing and borders in CMYK colors to frame the art and make it more cohesive looking. Completed April 2017. More details and progress photos here.
